9) What does it mean being a national Registered Training Organisation?
We love this question because it is such an important question to ask. We are an RTO which means a Registered Training Organisation. We adhere to strict government guidelines and our certificates are nationally recognised and government audited. Q Academy also blankets the State with multiple campuses in Queensland.
8) I wasn’t the best student at school, will I be able to handle the work load?
If exams make you so nervous you want to throw up! Well, your not alone. The great news is we have no big scary three hour exams or take home assignments. We do continual in-class knowledge checks that take about ten minutes and are a series of true or false and multiple choice questions. If you don't quite make it the first time you can do it as often as you like until you do (just like your drivers license).
7) How are we able to Complete the full Diploma course in 6 or 12 months
We use Advanced Learning Techniques which hit all of your senses. The best way to describe it is, if you hear a song on the radio you haven’t heard in years, you can still sing along and remember most of the lyrics, but you may not remember what was in yesterdays newspaper. This is what Advanced learning is, a kinesthetic way of remembering information without even meaning to! We keep you active during the morning theory sessions with fun brain breaks to keep you on your toes and laughing to keep you are alert and learning.
NO boring lecturers droning on at the front of the class reading from a book. We do massage practice in the afternoon session from the second day onwards so you are fit and confident with your techniques when you graduate.We teach 7 days a week and do 9 sessions a week for full time or 4 sessions a week for part time courses and do not close for public holidays other then for Christmas, Anzac day and Good Friday.
Importantly all our sessions are live given by a course coach so there are no self study days.
6) What courses can I do with you and how long do they take?
Our Master Therapist program gives you a Diploma of Remedial Massage [HLT50307] and a Certificate IV in massage [HLT40307]. This makes you eligible for a Health Care Provider Number that allows you to perform Remedial Treatments that your clients can claim back from their private health care funds. Or you can just do the Certificate IV in Massage [HLT40307] which is a good entry level massage qualification and allows you to work as a general relaxation Massage Therapist.
You can choose to do a full time or part time class and you can even change from one to another if your conditions change
Full Time - Monday to Thursday 9:30am to 4:15pm + Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm for 21 weeks
OR
Part Time - Mon & Wed night 6pm-9pm & Saturday 9:30am to 4:15pm for 45 weeks
OR
Part Time - Tues & Thurs night 6pm-9pm & Sunday 9:30am to 4:15pm for 45 weeks
5) Can I get a job when I finish?
You will be fully qualified when you finish and able to register and be insured as a Massage Therapist or Remedial Massage Therapist. Q Academy can also assist with resumes and Employer contacts and we lupdate our web site daily with current job vacancies in Qld. If you want to set up your own business at home, mobile or on a professional premises we can also assist with business advice and help you to set up and become successful.
4) Why should I do my course with you instead of someone else?

- Alternatively we have a weekly payment finance option.
